About me
I am a critical thinker, altruist, and storyteller at heart. For the past 8+ years, I have worked at the intersection of funding, partnerships, and program strategy, building the relationships and structures that allow locally led solutions to reach the communities that need them most across Sub-Saharan Africa.
I am an international development professional with experience in fundraising, external relations, and program management across Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanza, Zambia, Malawi, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and the United States, working with nonprofits and social enterprises. My work centers on helping organizations translate strong ideas into fundable strategies and secure long-term partnerships.
Over my career, I have led end-to-end grant development, donor engagement, and reporting for complex, multi-country portfolios. This includes in-depth prospect research, proposal writing, and the design of fundraising systems that improve operational efficiency. I have secured over $5 million from a diverse range of funders (family foundations, institutional donors, corporate foundations, and high-net-worth individuals), while ensuring that funding strategies remain aligned with organizational values and on-the-ground realities.
I take a deeply relational approach to partnership-building. I pride myself on cultivating meaningful, strategic relationships and have led donor visits, high-level briefings, and sustained engagement with both prospective and long-standing partners. Whether through one-on-one conversations or international convenings, I focus on building trust, clarity, and long-term alignment.
I specialize in translating complex technical data into clear, compelling narratives for funders and policymakers. I have supported senior-level donor engagements and documented outcomes from multi-stakeholder convenings to strengthen accountability, learning, and follow-through.
Over the past two years, I have worked as an independent fundraising and strategic partnerships consultant, advising organizations on fundraising strategy, developing proposals and advocacy materials, and supporting leadership through prospect research, ensuring that evidence, relationships, and strategy consistently reinforce long-term, systems-level impact.
